Become a pivotal part of our Operations by applying to become our Workshop Manager. In this newly created role, you will oversee the daily operations of our workshops, ensuring the highest standards of productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
- Supervise team productivity and adherence to KPIs.
- Manage work allocation and adjust schedules based on priorities.
- Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring efficient repair job management.
- Support and develop team performance and apprentice progress.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team for parts and supply chain support.
- Ensure the workshop is organised and safe, maintaining adequate tools and work areas.
- Handle customer repair work and ensure accurate, timely cost estimates.
- Participate in service team meetings and follow up on actions and issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service department procedures.
- Promote safety and housekeeping within the team.
- Minimum 3 years of recent supervisory experience in a similar industry.
- Hands-on experience in an engineering or service environment.
- 3rd level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served mechanic/electrician.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle challenging situations confidently and calmly.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks independently.
- IT literacy including MS Word and Excel.
- A valid driver’s licence to travel between depots when required.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime.

Hours of work: 7.30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Thursday & 7.30 am – 4 pm Friday plus one Saturday every third week from 7.45 am – 12.00 pm.
